PSL Detectives  investigating a Murder at 1100 block of SW Goodman Avenue

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- On May 27, 2020 at 12:57 am, St. Lucie County Dispatch received a call from an adult male suspect (fifty-three-year-old) advising the female victim was stabbed and, in the bedroom, at the 1100 block of SW Goodman Avenue, PSL.  Officers arrived on scene, found the male suspect standing by the front door of the residence, unarmed and severely injured.

Police found an adult female deceased on the bedroom floor with multiple stab wounds. Police also encountered a teenager inside of the home, asleep and uninjured. The teenager was transported to the Police Department for an interview.

Initial investigation revealed a dispute ensued over the male being unemployed which allegedly led to the stabbing of the victim. The male suspect had what appeared to be self-inflicted stab wounds to his neck and wrists, he also informed Police he drank bleach, prior to calling 9-1-1. St Lucie County Fire/Rescue along with an Officer; transported the male suspect to a nearby hospital where he is currently being treated.

Port St. Lucie Detectives are in the early stages of the investigation; therefore, no additional information will be released at this time, including the identity of the deceased victim.
