Keep generators outside

It’s critical to keep generators outside. Never use them in a garage, basement, crawl space or enclosed or even partially enclosed areas that may have ventilation. Opening doors and windows and fans will not prevent CO from building up inside a home. Call 800-222-1222 for any poison emergency. If the victim has collapsed, call 911.

Comcast

Port St. Lucie Police are warning people about a Comcast contractor scam. Police responded to a call on Wednesday after a person complained about a man pretending to be a Comcast contractor asked to collect money from a past bill. According to police, the contractor had a shirt with a Comcast logo on it, a Comcast hat, ID badge, and the vehicle had a magnet with the Comcast logo on it. The resident did the right thing and called Comcast to report the incident, and Comcast said it did not have an employee with the name provided. The resident did not pay the man, and he left the area. Comcast does not send employees to collect money, and contractors are only used to repair lines and check service problems. If you have any information on this type of incident or similar scenarios, police ask that you report it.
