Power is being restored

  • FPL says restoration for east coast is expected to be completed by end of weekend.
  • West coast could be out of power until September 22nd.
  • Customers may lose power more than once while they fix the grid.
  • About 40% of FPL customers had their power restored in the first full day of repairs.
  • 5am update, 22,440 customers in SLC (18%) and 19,520 in MC (21%) are still without power.
    • About 20,000 customers had power restored yesterday
  • Another 1,534 Fort Pierce Utility customers (5%)
    • Down significantly from the 20k that were without power yesterday
