Port St. Lucie: Woman shot, man found dead with possible self-inflicted gunshot wound

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- A woman was shot and a man was found dead with possible self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

On Saturday February 8, 2020 at around 7:20 pm police went to the 400 block of SE Thornhill Drive for reports of an alleged shooting.

The female caller (victim) advised she had been shot by her male boyfriend.  Police confirmed the victim had what appeared to be a facial gunshot wound.

During the initial investigation police learned the victim was going to get the male some help prior to the shooting. The male was located dead in another part of the residence with what appeared to be an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head according the the PSLPD.

The female victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital, is stable and receiving treatment for her injury. This case is actively being investigated by the criminal investigation division; therefore, detectives will not disclose additional information at this time.
