Port St Lucie Police arrest man for drugs he tried to claim were baking ingredients

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com) – On December 31st, 2020 at 3:00am, Port St Lucie Police arrested Jethro Geneus (11/1/1990) for trafficking phenethylamines 10 grams or more.  A vehicle Jethro was a passenger in was pulled over in the 300 Block of SE Port St Lucie Blvd.  The Officer noticed Geneus was moving something around by his feet.

After it was determined Geneus had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, he was taken out of the vehicle, and Police Officers noticed a backpack on the front floorboard.  Inside the back pack contained a scale and two larger bags of a white and brown substance.

Geneus informed Police Officers that the bag was his and the two substances were “sugar and a bag of corn starch to bake a cake”.  Police Officers doing their due diligence tested both substances for illegal narcotics.  Both substances tested positive for MDMA and had a combined weight of 299.5 grams.

While at jail, Geneus dropped a clear bag with a white powdered substance, that tested for Meth.  Geneus was charged with trafficking phenethylamines 10 grams or more and introduction of contraband into a detention facility.
