Port St Lucie Police arrest Arizona man after displaying knife

 

Port St. Lucie , Fl (treasurecoast.com) -On August 21, 2021, at approximately 8:30pm, Port St Lucie Police responded to 1820 SW Fountainview Blvd in reference to a disturbance.

Once on scene, Officers learned that a couple was sitting outside the Mobil Gas Station, by the rear of their vehicle when they were approached by the defendant, Leonard Bolton.  Bolton asked the couple why they were not wearing their masks due to COVID.  The couple told Bolton to leave them alone.

Bolton then placed his hand on the back of the male victim and proceeded to lift his shirt, showing a knife that was in his waistband.  The knife was described as having a silver blade and black handle.  In fear that Bolton was going to cause harm to them, the victim’s wife yelled to her husband that Bolton had a knife, and the two exchanged words until Police arrived.

Bolton gave Officers consent to search his vehicle and subsequently located a large knife tucked between the driver’s seat and center console.  The knife had a black handle and silver blade.

Bolton was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon without intent to Kill and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
