The victim gave Roberts and his brother a ride home.

After Roberts exited the victim’s car he opened the driver’s side door, brandished a handgun that he had in his waistband, and demanded that the victim give him everything she has.  The victim told Roberts that she does not have anything as she is a single mother.  Roberts pulled the gun from his waistband then grabbed a gold necklace that the victim was wearing.  During the robbery the victim’s infant boy was in the backseat of the car.

After the robbery the victim then backed out of the driveway knocking Roberts to the ground.  As the victim tried to drive away from the scene, Roberts chased after the car and smashed the windshield of the victim’s car with an unknown blunt object.  The victim continued to drive down the street as Roberts ran inside his house.  The victim flagged down a passerby and had them call police.

Police arrived at the scene and eventually coaxed Roberts out of the house.  Roberts was arrested and taken to the St. Lucie County Jail for booking.  Police were unable to locate the gun or the necklace Roberts stole from the victim.
