Port St. Lucie man arrested after pointing  gun at girlfriends head

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com) – The PSLPD have reported that a Port St. Lucie man was arrested after pointing a  gun at his girlfriend’s head.

This is what they said:

On July 1 at 0025 hours, PSLPD responded to the 4600-Blk of SW Carib St in reference to a domestic disturbance.
A woman called 911 after her boyfriend pointed a gun at her head and threatened to shoot her. The victim was able to exit the house without injury.
Officers responded and began communicating with the suspect but he refused to exit and remained armed inside the house. After communicating with the suspect for approximately four hours, the PSLPD SWAT Team and Crisis Negotiation Team were able to de-escalate and peacefully resolve the situation.
33-year-old Cody Eckhardt exited the rear of the house and was taken into custody. Investigation is active and ongoing at this time. Criminal charges will be forthcoming.
