PSL man arrested after he robs victim he met on a dating application

A PSL man has been arrested after he robs a victim he met on a dating app. On December 31, 2016,  Port St. Lucie Police arrested Cleveland White Jamison. He was charged with robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, grand theft, possession of a weapon by convicted felon, and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

On December 30, 2016, police went to the 800 block of SW Nichols Terrace for reports of a robbery.  Police met with the victim who told them that he met Jamison on the dating app MeetMe.  The victim said that he invited Jamison to his home.  Jamison showed up at the victim’s house on December 29, 2016 but left shortly after arriving due to other persons being at the house.

Jamison returned to the house on December 30 at around 4:00 am. When the victim explained that he expected to exchange sexual favors for Marijuana.  Once inside the house, Jamison went to the victim’s bedroom.  Once in the bedroom, Jamison pulled out a handgun and ordered the victim to lay down.  Jamison then asked for money.  When he was told there was no money he stole the victim’s clothes, to include a pair of Michael Jordan’s shoes worth $200.00, a phone, gold chain, silver link bracelet and a black watch all totaling around $800.00.

During the next 12 hours, Port St. Lucie Police detectives were able to track Jamison down by pinging the cell phone from information they acquired through the investigation.  Police located Jaminson at a house located in the 1800 block of SE North Blackwell Drive.  Police surrounded the house and placed Jaminson into custody without incident.  Upon Jaminson’s arrest it was discoved that he was wearing the victims clothes, necklace, and bracelet.

Jaminson was taken to the St. Lucie County Jail for booking.
