Port St Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com) -On February 16, 2021 at approximately 12:30pm, Port St Lucie Police responded to the Bank of America located at 9110 S US Hwy 1 in reference to a bank robbery.  They learned that a white male, walked into the bank with a dark colored shirt wrapped around his face, holding an empty bag.  The subject handed the bank teller a note and demanded money from her.  The teller provided the suspect with an undetermined amount of money and he fled in a white Chevrolet SUV.  From the images it appears it was a Suburban.

Port St Lucie Police Detectives and Crime Scene Technicians responded and processed the scene.  Crime Scene Investigator, Joel Smith located a palm print, where the subject was standing when he received the money.

After seeing the reports and pictures of the bank robbery suspect, Port St Lucie Police responded to TD Bank at 8000 S US Hwy 1 in reference to a suspicious person.  Police Officers learned that a male matching the description of the bank robber was in their bank, carrying an empty bag, just a few minutes before the Bank of America robbery.  The teller at the bank confronted the male, and he stated he was there to open an account, but he didn’t have an ID.  The male left and then presumably went to the Bank of America.

This morning, Port St Lucie Police Crime Scene Investigators were able to match the palm print found at Bank of America to Eric Charles Limberis.  At approximately 11:00am, Port St. Lucie Police Detectives drove to his residence and witnessed a white male, covering a white SUV with a tarp.  Detectives waited in the area when Limberis exited, he got into an Uber, and left his house.  Port St Lucie Police Officers pulled the vehicle over a short while later and detained Limberis.  He was transported back to the Police Station for questioning.  Limberis confessed to Port St Lucie Police Detectives.
