 Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- The Port St Lucie Police & St. Lucie County Fire District are investigating fire after a deceased person was found.

This is what happened:

At 4:25am, PSLPD and the St. Lucie County Fire District responded to the 2300-Blk of SE Beechwood Ter in reference to a residential structure fire. A neighbor called 911 after seeing flames coming from the house.
Officers arrived on scene and found the house engulfed in flames. Officers attempted to make entry into the house but were unable to do so because of the flames. SLCFD extinguished the fire and located a deceased person in a bedroom of the house.
The St. Lucie County Fire District is investigating the cause of the fire. PSLPD Detectives are conducting a death investigation, however there appears to be no unusual circumstances at this time. The investigation is active and ongoing.
