“Pick Axe” burglars strikes again in Port St. Lucie; Police asking for public’s help in identifying suspects.
On Friday, July 29, 2016, Port St. Lucie Police received a BOLO from Martin County and St. Lucie County Sheriff Offices regarding business burglaries. Port St. Lucie Police began checking businesses and discovered that the Slice of Heaven Italian Restaurant located at 10075 South US Highway 1 had its front doors smashed and the inside was ransacked. Further business checks in the area were conducted and police located a second business, Sweet and Salty Restaurant, located at 1666 SE Port St. Lucie Boulevard also had its front doors smashed and was burglarized.

Video surveillance from A Slice of Heaven revealed that two females, one carrying a Pick Axe, entered the business, ransacked the office then stole a safe and the cash register drawer.
During a check of the Sweet and Salty Restaurant police discovered that the suspects smashed in the front door then stole an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.
The suspects are described as two females, thin build, dressed in all black with their faces covered. One of the female suspects is seen carrying a Pick Axe as she walked through the restaurant.
These two burglaries resemble the same method of operation that the suspects used to burglarize a Caribbean Restaurant and Jewelry Store on July 19, 2016.
