PETA is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the people behind a cruel prank involving a shark.
Two weeks ago, a resident saw two teen boys dumping a 5-foot-long blacktip shark into a backyard swimming pool in Hypoluxo.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says the woman and her husband returned the shark to the ocean, but experts don’t think it survived due to the potential damage from all the chlorine.
PETA Director Stephanie Bell said it was appalling that someone would dump the shark into a pool of quote “poisonous, chemically treated water”, and urges anyone with information to come forward.
PETA isn’t the only group looking for the boys, law enforcement investigators are also looking for the two.
