PBC Deputy assaulted, man hunt underway.

A Deputy conducting a routine business check was assaulted Sunday morning.

At approximately 1230 am, a PBSO Deputy was conducting a business check in the alleyway of 1011 7th Ave South, Lake Worth. The deputy was flagged down by an unknown black male in the alleyway. The Deputy was ambushed and struck on the right side of his face with a blunt object. It was later determined to be a shank/nail.

The Deputy was transported to the hospital. He was treated and released.The suspect is described as 5’8″ with a slim build. He has scruffy beard facial hair. Suspect had a  black shirt with white letters or logo on front, unknown color denim shorts.

The suspect fled on foot and was last seen running eastbound from 1011 7th Avenue South (across of South H Street).

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Division at (561)688-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458 TIPS. There is a $5,000.00 reward for information leading to an arrest.

This is the sketch of the person who ambushed our Deputy in Lake Worth. If you know who this person is, there may be $5,000 reward for information that will lead to his arrest.
