Oxbow Hosts Volunteer Open House Oct. 20

PORT ST. LUCIE – There is no better time than the present to engage with friends and neighbors while giving back to your community through volunteerism. The volunteer spirit has been passed down through generations and for others, it may be something completely new.  All that matters is that you want to make a difference in your community. Please join us at the Oxbow Eco-Center’s Volunteer Open House on Friday, Oct. 20 at 3 p.m. to learn about the many unique and gratifying volunteer opportunities.

The Oxbow Eco-Center is an environmental learning center with the mission to cultivate knowledge, nurture a sense of wonder and inspire stewardship for the natural world through education, artistic expression, collaboration, volunteerism and celebration. The Volunteer Open House will offer the chance to explore the center with a guided tour and interactive activities designed to give you a sense of how the Oxbow utilizes volunteers to strengthen the greater community.

This event is perfect for families, civic groups and individuals of all ages who are interested in serving their community.  For further inquiries please call or email Erin Cartmill, environmental volunteer coordinator, at 772-785-5833 orcartmille@stlucieco.org.
