Oxbow Eco-Center Facility Announces Holiday Schedule

 

PORT ST. LUCIE – The Oxbow Eco-Center’s education center will be closed Thursday, Dec. 24, Friday, Dec. 25, Saturday, Dec. 26 and Friday, Jan. 1 for the holidays. The preserve’s three miles of trails will remain open.

The Oxbow staff recently reopened its education center, following local, state and federal COVID-19 precautions and guidelines including temperature checks, wearing facial coverings, social distancing and increased sanitation. Additionally, all visitors to the education center must make reservations online atwww.oxboweco.com. The Oxbow’s education center is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 4 p.m., while the trails are open every day from dawn to dusk. Admission is free.

The Oxbow Eco-Center is a St. Lucie County Environmental Learning Center situated on 225 acres along the St. Lucie River at 5400 NE St. James Drive in Port St. Lucie.  To learn more about the Oxbow Eco-Center, St. Lucie County’s Environmental Resources Department, public programming, and volunteer opportunities, please visit oxboweco.com or call the staff at 772-785-5833.
