MCSO/FWC SEARCH FOR MISSING PALM CITY KAYAKER, FWC REQUESTS VIDEO ASSISTANCE FROM THE PUBLIC

Martin County (treasurecoast.com) -The Martin County Sheriff’s Marine and Aviation Unit continue to assist FWC in the search for 71-year old Stephen Crouch of Palm City.
Mr. Crouch was last seen leaving Treasure Coast Rowing Club at Charlie Leighton Park around 6:45am, when he put a rented kayak in the water and headed out. He was due back approximately two hours later but never showed up. The Martin County Sheriff’s Marine Units did locate the kayak about a mile from Hosford Park. Mr. Crouch was not located.
FWC is requesting video assistance from surrounding homes or businesses in that area around the South Fork. Mr. Crouch put the kayak in the water along Cornell Avenue in Palm City. He headed southbound along the South Fork River. The kayak was located in the water closer to Mapp Road. If you have any information or video that may have captured images of Mr. Crouch, please call FWC at 888-404-3922, or you can call the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
