Off-duty Stuart PD officer rescues elderly man disabled on railroad tracks

Stuart, Fl-An off-duty officer rescued an elderly man who was disabled on the railroad tracks.

Last Saturday night  Officer David Jacobson was working an off-duty detail in the downtown Stuart area.

A  call came in that there was a disabled vehicle on the train tracks and an elderly gentleman was in the vehicle.

According to the Stuart PD Officer Jacobson rushed to the area and removed the elderly man from the car. Dispatch immediately notified FEC to notify the conductor to stop the train.

No one was injured.

If you look closely at the photo below, you will see the lights from the oncoming train in the distance.
