Multiple Illegal drugs found in soda cans inside Tequesta man’s car

Multiple Illegal drugs found in soda cans inside Tequesta man’s car.

A suspicious vehicle parked near a local business early this morning caught the attention of a midnight shift deputy performing a routine check in his zone. That suspicion led to the seizure of fentanyl, methamphetamine, heroin, crack cocaine, Clonazepam and Xanax. The  majority of the drugs were concealed in fake soda cans.

31-year old William Joseph Lefler of Tequesta was arrested and faces multiple possession charges.

Fentanyl is not only to drug abusers, but to law enforcement officers who conduct traffic stops and come into contact with the substance. An Ohio Police Officer accidentally overdosed during a traffic stop when he was exposed to the fentanyl. Law enforcement agencies throughout the country are undergoing special training. They are relying on special equipment to help protect them from dangerous secondary exposures.

William Lefler was transported to the Martin County Jail. He has no bond at this time.
