Multiple Auto Burglaries in Martin Crossing

Stuart -Several vehicle burglaries were reported in the Martin’s Crossing neighborhood in Stuart, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office said.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a number of auto burglaries that occurred in the Martins Crossing Development located in Stuart. At least nine reports have been taken from victims who reside on Flemming Way, Graham Drive, and Chiles Court. It is likely that some victims are not yet aware that property has been stolen from their vehicles.

The crimes occurred between 1am –3am. In every case, the vehicle was left unlocked. This follows reports of similar auto burglaries that occurred on January 25th in Osprey Cove and in Quail Ridge, and in Mariner Village on January 26th.

The following post contains a still image, taken from a home surveillance camera, of the suspect opening car doors. We will also post the video of the suspect on a separate post. We are asking everyone to check their vehicles to see if you have property missing. If you believe your vehicle was burglarized, please call the Martin County Sheriff’s Office to file a report.

If you live in Martins Crossing, and have exterior camera footage that might assist us in identifying this person, or, if you have information about the suspect, please call our Criminal Investigations Division at 220-7060. You can remain anonymous. You can also private message us on Facebook with your tips.

We would like remind everyone about the importance of keeping your car doors locked, removing all valuables from your car, and keeping loose change from plain view.
