Miami man shot after complaining about slow service in Ft. Pierce

A Miami man was shot after complaining about slow service in a smoothie shop Sunday afternoon.
Just before 3:30 p.m. September 13, a customer in the Tropical Smoothie Cafe at 5212 Okeechobee Road began complaining about the length of time it was taking for his order. The customer, a 39-year-old #Miami man, continued to rant when a black male, unknown age, entered the shop and confronted the disgruntled customer, shooting him in the face.
The shooter fled the store on foot. He was wearing a black hoodie, black shorts and a black mask. A perimeter was setup and a police K-9 aided in the search of the area and a nearby apartment complex. No suspect was located.
The victim was transported to an area hospital by

St. Lucie County Fire District paramedics where he remains hospitalized. He was listed in serious condition Monday morning, but is expected to recover.
