MCSO SEARCHING FOR SUSPECT WHO COMMITTED VIOLENT CARJACKING/KIDNAPPING IN PALM CITY
At this hour Martin County Sheriff’s detectives are working with agents from the South Florida Crime Task Force as they search for the suspect who violently carjacked a family sitting inside their vehicle in Palm City Sunday afternoon. The family, who was headed to Miami from Disney and parked at the Mobile gas station on SR 714 when the armed suspect walked up to the car and violently attacked the female driver. The victim struggled to protect her family, but was thrown down by the suspect. The suspect then drove off with her infant child, and elderly mother still inside the vehicle. Shortly after the kidnapping, the suspect forced the elderly woman and the infant out of the car. The female driver was injured and treated at the hospital. Detective are working significant leads in this case. We will update this shortly.
