MCSO rescue dog from ocean near Hobe Sound

Martin County, Fl- A near tragedy for a family dog at a Martin County beach.

A boxer was swimming in the waters off of Hobe Sound beach, when it found itself caught up in a quick moving current. The dog was quickly pulled three quarters of a mile out to sea. The dog’s owners did everything they could, but the current was too strong.

Luckily, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office Marine Deputies were able to find the dog and bring him back to his owners on dry land.

MCSO Marine Deputy Michael Joseph and Deputy Justin Lundstedt began searching for the animal locating him just in the nick of time. The deputies got the exhausted dog aboard the boat and returned him to his owner.
