Managers at an auto dealership in Pompano Beach declined 36-year old Nicholas Jackson’s business, when he tried to buy a $60,000 BMW with a credit card and his EBT card. The next night, the business was burglarized. The BMW was gone, and so were the keys to 60-other vehicles.

This morning, Martin County Deputies responding to a suspicious person call, located the BMW and the stolen keys. They also found Nicholas Jackson, the man who appeared determined to have that BMW one way or another. It turns out, Jackson stole the car and the 60-sets of keys, but he didn’t have the money to fill the tank, and he ran out of gas at the intersection of SW Baneberry Trail and SW High Meadow Avenue in Palm City.

When detectives began to piece the scenario together, they were able to trace the car and the keys back to the Pompano Beach dealership.

Meanwhile, detectives picked up where deputies left off, giving Jackson a Grand Theft Auto charge, and a ride to the Martin County Jail. His bond is $20,000.
