MCSO arrests suspect who left crash site after hitting little girl

SUSPECT WHO LEFT THE CRASH SCENE AFTER HITTING A 15-YEAR OLD BICYCLIST, ARRESTED AND CHARGED

 

22-year old Ronald Joseph Jr. was arrested a  in the parking lot of a plaza in Stuart. After hours of investigation, Traffic Deputy Ronnie Panero obtained information on Joseph’s possible whereabouts. Deputy Panero, MCSO narcotics detectives, and uniform road patrol units waited to see if Joseph would show up at a specific location—and he did.

Detectives moved in on Joseph, who attempted to take off on foot to no avail. Joseph was captured and sunsequently charged with leaving the scene of a crash with bodily injury. He was charged with introduction of contraband into a correction facility. Deputies found marijuana stuffed in his pants during the booking process.

Ronald Joseph is being processed at the Martin County Jail without bond.

The crash was caught on a private motorists dash-cam. Following that crash, numerous tips came in identifying Joseph as the man in the video.
