MCSO arrests PBC man in multiple storage burglaries.
Martin County Sheriff’s Detectives have arrested 25-year old Devarta Jamal Taylor. He was charged with the burglary of more than 150-storage units. This occurred at two separate Hobe Sound facilities.
A break in the case happened when an MCSO midnight shift deputy interrupted Taylor as he was pilfering through one of the units. Taylor took off, but crime scene technicians were then able to obtain fingerprints on items Taylor left behind.
Detectives obtained a warrant for Taylor’s arrest. He was taken into custody. Taylor confessed to the crimes. This arrest solves the 168-burglaries.
Devarta Jamal Taylor was taken to the Martin County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
