MCSO: Arrests after attempted break in.

Deputies arrested two men after attempted  break in into the Florida Sports Cycle store in Stuart.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says the store’s alarm went off late Thursday night.

Deputies responded to the store along Carnivale Court.  They found two men hiding in nearby bushes within the fence line.

Deputies said the two suspects are convicted felons from West Palm Beach. The pair tried cutting themselves out of the fenced business area to avoid arrest. Deputies found bolt cutters, wire cutters and dark clothing that the suspects tried to hide. Deputies also found a get away van parked nearby.

Authorities say the steering column was punched out. The van was parked in a way that the men could have loaded stolen products without being noticed.

25-year-old Christopher Franquiz and 33-year-old Orionny Lopez were taken to the Martin County jail and charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools.
