Martin County traffic stop turns into drug bust
Martin County, Fl- A traffic stop turned into a drug bust in Martin County.
A sheriff’s deputy pulled over a vehicle on Kanner Highway. When the deputy made contact with the driver, he noticed a strong smell of cannabis. The driver said she and her passenger had been smoking, and that she had the cannabis inside her backpack. The deputy had the driver empty her pockets, and discovered nine small jeweler’s bags containing a white powder that was determined to be MDMA, five capsules with the same powder, and five jeweler’s bags filled with cannabis. When the deputy searched the car, he found the backpack which had over 18 grams of cannabis, a digital scale, and more MDMA. The driver, 27-year old April Wilkins was arrested for possession of cannabis and MDMA with the intent to sell.
