Martin County Sheriff welcomes Remi the bloodhound

Martin County, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- The Martin County Sheriff welcomes Remi the bloodhound!

Check it out:
At first glance you may think you see an isolated little puppy that somehow got himself thrown in the slammer for something he didn’t do. But that’s not the case at all.
Please welcome Remi, the newest member of the Martin County Sheriff’s Office family. Remi is a 12-week-old Bloodhound that will be used to assist in the search and tracking of missing children or lost elderly adults. This breed is easy to train to be gentle yet highly effective when searching for missing persons.
Once Remi completes K-9 Tracking Academy in the fall, he will officially begin his long-anticipated law enforcement career permanently assigned to the MCSO Corrections Division.
Until then, Remi will remain on the right side of these bars standing guard (so he thinks) waiting for the rest of his body to grow into his large paws and long ears.
We are very excited to introduce you to Remi and hope you will follow his career over the next several years.
