Martin County Sheriff launches Operation Back-Pack

Martin County, Fl- The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is trying to make sure that students have the supplies they need when school starts back up in a few weeks.

They’ve launched Operation Back-Pack. This is in partnership with Safe Space. The goal is to collect at least 50 backpacks plus school supplies specifically for children being housed at the local Safe Space shelter.

Supplies for students of all ages are needed, pre-K through seniors in high school. Some supplies needed in addition to the backpacks are markers, crayons, glue sticks, calculators, composition books, and flash drives.

The donated supplies can be dropped off at the Martin County sheriff’s office, located at 800 SE Monterey Road in Stuart.
