Martin County Sheriff: Increase in aggressive gator calls

"<yoastmark

Martin County, Fl (treasurecoast.com)-Martin County Sheriff’s Deputies are warning residents about an increase in aggressive gator calls after a second dog was killed in Indiantown. This 8-foot gator was captured and trapped after he grabbed, killed and consumed a neighborhood dog. This is the second dog killed by an alligator in that area in the last few weeks.

Because of heavy rains, gators are moving about the land, and can be very aggressive. Please keep a close eye on your children and pets if you live anywhere near water, even retention ponds. Also, you should never feed alligators. Not only is it illegal, but by doing so, gators lose fear of humans and become more of a danger to people and pets.
