Martin County Library invites teens to celebrate fandom, gaming, and more at annual FanFest

Stuart, Fla. (June 16, 2022) – The Martin County Library System (MCLS) prepares to host its eighth annual “FanFest: Celebration of Fandom” program on Saturday, July 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Blake Library, 2351 SE Monterey Road in Stuart.

FanFest, initially conceived as a MCLS teen event in 2015, will include a combination of crafts, gaming, and other activities designed to engage participants as well as foster their creativity. Snacks will be provided, and prizes will be awarded by raffle. Teens are encouraged to attend in costume dressed as their favorite anime/manga, comic book, superhero, or video game character. Content is organized by the Teen Library Specialist, with input from additional staff members by committee.

FanFest is geared towards those ages 11 – 18; it is free to participate and sponsored by The Library Foundation of Martin County, Inc. For more information about this and other library events, please view our online newsletter and event calendar at www.library.martin.fl.us, or call (772) 288-5702.
