Martin County Beaches now open to everyone
Martin County, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- Martin County will open its beaches to everyone, not just county residents, starting today.
Officials reopened beaches on May 8 to county residents only after nearly two months of closures due to the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
Originally the order was in place after the county saw a massive influx of beach goers from down south. People drove from as far south as Miami, went to the beach and did not social distance putting us all at risk.
Hobe Sound Beach will be open today.
Bathtub Beach remains closed due to erosion caused by Hurricane Dorian.
Beach-goers must still abide by social distancing rules. Keep six feet apart from other groups and avoid groups of ten or more.
