Here is our basketball update from our friend Mike Thomas at WSTU:
The annual Don Wallen Holiday Basketball Tournament started yesterday at Martin County High School.
Natorian Tyson had a double-double to help Martin County get a first round win over Clearwater 69-61.
South Fork suffered a first round loss to St Thomas Aquinas, 75-56. Their best player, Caleb Edwards, suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter.
The second round of the tournament is today. South Fork plays Leesburg at 3 o’clock. Martin County plays Miami Springs at 7:30.
The final round of the tournament will be tomorrow. There will be a three point competition, followed by the tournament championship at 7:00.
