Martin County airport manager fired amid allegations of abusive behavior

Martin County’s airport manager has been fired after just five months on the job. It has been reported that Erik Treudt has been fired amid allegations of inappropriate treatment of employees and requiring prayer in a government workplace.

County documents show that Treudt is accused of asking a female staff member to iron his shirt because his wife was out of town. He also is accused of partially undressing in front of female staff members.

Treudt was hired on June 1st, and fired on November 6th without cause. Treudt has complained that he was fired without an explanation.  County Administrator Taryn Kryzda said that Treudt was told on several occasions that he was failing to meet expectations.
