Man jailed for ramming his car into the car his ex-girlfriend was riding in.

As the victim traveled on Airoso Boulevard, Gomez rammed the front of his car into the back of the victim’s car.

On Sunday, March 27, 2016 at around 9:00 pm, Port St. Lucie Police arrested Miguel Gomez on two counts of aggravated assault, criminal mischief over $1,000.00, and reckless driving; after he rammed his car into the car his ex-girlfriend was riding in.

The incident began on March 27, 2016 at around 8:45 pm when Gomez was driving on Port St. Lucie Boulevard when and he noticed his ex-girlfriend in a car with another man.  Gomez signaled for the male driving the car to pull over.  The victim did not stop for Gomez and instead turned north on Airso Boulevard.  As the victim traveled on Airoso Boulevard, Gomez rammed the front of his car into the back of the victim’s car.  Gomez continued to chase the victim through a gas station parking lot and continued east on SE Prima Vista Boulevard to SE Floresta Drive.

The victim turned south on Floresta Drive where Gomez again rammed his car.  As the cars continued south on Floresta Drive, Gomez rammed the victim’s car for the third time causing the victim’s car to spin out of control.  Gomez then rammed his car into the driver’s side door of the victim’s car shattering the window of the victim’s car.  This final act caused Gomez’s car to become disabled and he was located by police in the 700 block of SE Brookedge.  There were no injuries reported from this incident.

Police arrested Gomez and transported him to the St. Lucie County Jail for booking.
