Man caught on video pawning stolen air compressor.

Port St Lucie- On October 19, 2017, Port St. Lucie Police arrested Everton George Henry.  He was charged with burglary to an unoccupied dwelling, petit theft, fraud-false information to a pawn broker, and dealing in stolen property.

The investigation began on October 13, 2017.  The victim who lives in the 300 block of NW Placid Avenue told police that someone entered the covered patio to his home and stole a DeWalt air compressor. Port St. Lucie Police detectives discovered that an air compressor had recently been pawned at a local pawn store.

The detective continued his investigation by taking photos of the pawned air compressor. Then it was confirmed that the air compressor pawned was in fact his stolen air compressor.  The detective was able to identify the suspect, Henry,  through the pawn transaction and confirmed his identity through finger prints and the pawn store’s video surveillance.

Henry was subsequently arrested and taken to the St. Lucie County Jail for booking.
