Man arrested after threatening to blow up Marty bus in Stuart

Stuart, Fl- On Tuesday at 2:00 pm, Stuart Police received a call regarding a man claiming to have a bomb threatened to blow up a Marty Bus.

It was reported that the individual left a suspicious package on the bus and made the comment just before exiting. Stuart Police took all precautions by evacuating the bus and diverting US1 northbound traffic onto Baker Road. Resources from nearby agencies were called to examine the bus and to ensure that no explosives were at the scene.

Officers located the suspect in the area of NW Wright Boulevard.

Karl M. Gleissner, of Hobe Sound, was arrested and charged with false report concerning planting a bomb. He also had an outstanding arrest warrant out of St. Lucie County.

The scene was declared safe and no injuries were reported.
