Love is in the air! Let the Stuart Community Concert Band get you in the mood!

Are you in the mood for love? The Stuart Community Concert Band is getting ready to present a concert entitled “Love Is In The Air,” and as you might have guessed, there will be plenty of music to get you and keep you in the mood for love.

The band’s performance of “Love Is In The Air” will take place at the Kane Center on Sunday, Feb. 10, four days before St. Valentine’s Day. Music to get you in the mood begins at 2 p.m. For ticket information, contact the Kane Center at 772-223-7800.Tickets are $10 each.

“Love Is In The Air” will feature music from selections that include West Side Story, South Pacific,  A Carmen Celebration, and many other pieces.

The non-profit Stuart Community Concert Band is a multigenerational community group under the direction of conductor Jim LeBon. The band consists of volunteer musicians from all walks of life and of all age groups, with members ranging from middle-school music students to one saxophone player who is 91 years young.

Anyone is welcome to join this non-profit organization. Are you a music lover? Do you play a musical instrument? Did you ever? Come join the band! Rehearsals are on  Monday evenings at the North Stuart Baptist Church on U.S. 1, north of the Roosevelt Bridge.
