Search Finds Missing Man
Members of the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Vista Royale area early Monday morning.
A call from the wife of a Parkinson’s patient reported him missing and believed to be wearing only pajamas. The caller noted her husband was likely barefooted and did not have his walker.
Through the combined efforts of deputies, Agricultural, and K-9 Units along with the assistance of the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit, the missing man was found safely.
He was located in a heavily wooded area behind the Vista Gardens subdivision near Indian River Boulevard and U.S. 1, nearly a half of a mile from his home.
