Limited Tickets Remain for We Care Mardi Gras Celebration

One of the most enchanting events of the season is set to take place on Monday, February 27, 2017. Ony a limited number of tickets remain!  The We Care Mardi Gras Celebration has guests eager and excited to come together at Oak Harbor Club. We will be commemorating a year-long We Care 25th anniversary campaign with a carnival twist.

Since 1991, the We Care program has grown to include more than 130 volunteer physicians and medical professionals who donate health services valued at more than $1 million annually to upwards of 3,000 qualified Indian River County residents.  The We Care program is expected to serve even more patients with the focus on continuum of care in the years to come.

The Mardi Gras Celebration is the We Care Foundation of Indian River’s signature fundraising event.  Proceeds return directly to the Indian River County community to help meet We Care program and We Care Clinic non-physician ancillary medical or medically related needs for We Care patients.  Examples include after-care wound dressing, cataract lenses, prescription assistance, and transportation for medical appointments.

The chairs, Eileen O’Donnell and Hala Laviolette, honorary chairs, Diana Stark, Ann Marie McCrystal and Carol Kanarek, along with the We Care Krewe, the committee organizing the annual event, look forward to enchanting guests with a culinary tour of New Orleans, live music, casino games, a silent auction and lots of fun!

In addition to the revelry the We Care Foundation will:

  • honor the We Care program volunteer physicians for their commitment to caring for indigent residents
  • announce the Donor of the Year and Physicians of the Year.

Less than 100 tickets remain for this event and are expected to sell out quickly.  Tickets to the Mardi Gras Celebration are $200 each at WeCareofIRC.org or 772-562-0123.
