Letter to the Editor: Drive Through/Walk Up Covid19 testing in Stuart
Today, my wife and I joined a line of vehicles queuing up for Drive Through/Walk Up Covid19 testing at St Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart. Sponsored by the Martin County Department of Health and supported by the Stuart Police Department, the Salvation Army and some volunteers, the event was very well organized and professionally managed.
The police officers did their best to manage the lines of cars with courtesy and good humor. Health Department staff were well organized and efficient.
The documentation process and the actual tests were done professionally, and the nurses and support staff were amazingly good humored given the crush of people wishing to be tested.
We were proud to see Martin County Health and the City of Stuart operating at their best to respond to this horrible pandemic. Equally proud to see the impressive response of our friends and neighbors to this important opportunity. Very reassuring in these uncertain times.
