AMAZING GRACE
A Christian perspective of the mess that we are experiencing right now, is nothing new. It’s been this way from the beginning of mankind. Man has tried almost everything, from war to education, and it hasn’t gotten any better. No one wants to admit it, but it’s a sin problem. It has nothing to do with what color you are, or whether you’re a man or a woman or what nationality you are or whether you’re rich or poor. We all have a sinful nature. If you’re honest with yourself, and look into a mirror and examine your heart, you won’t like what you see. Sometime in our life we will lie, cheat, curse, be a racist, get angry and even hate for some reason or another.
You will try to justify your evil actions, but you will only be fooling yourself. The only good news is that God offers us Amazing Grace through his son Jesus the Christ. He came to this earth to die for us on a cross and set us free from Satan’s lies. His resurrection from the dead guarantees us eternal life and not the false peace that this world offers, but true peace that only God could give. Will things get better if you repent and make Jesus your Lord? Not necessarily, because we live in a world that hates Jesus. Is it worth it? I think so, I’ve been following him for almost fifty years and I can honestly tell you, my life as been better for it. Only with the power of God can you love your neighbor and even your enemy as you would want to be loved yourself.
