Lake O discharges to St. Lucie River top 100 billion gallons

Martin County (Treasurecoast.com) More than 100 billion gallons of water were discharged from Lake Okeechobee into the St. Lucie River and the Indian River Lagoon since mid-September. That makes it one of the 13 biggest water flows since 1965. The Army Corps of Engineers says the lake is still a foot above its preferred high water mark.
