K9 Bingo and infrared technology help MCSO apprehend suspect

Martin County, Fl- A traffic stop ended with two people arrested. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says that the SUV was speeding near Kanner and Cove Road. When they attempted a traffic stop, the driver stopped near the I-95 on ramp and then jumped out of his car, running towards the industrial parkway. The driver climbed to a roof and hid under an air conditioner vent. He was easy to find though. K9 Bingo led deputies to the ladder he climbed to get to the roof, and the sheriff’s office Air 1 unit used infrared to track the drivers body heat. 28-year old Evvard Rouse was arrested on fleeing and eluding and resisting arrest without violence. His passenger, 28-year old Shada Keyes was also arrested on open warrants. The third person in the car was not charged, and was released.
