Jupiter Man pleads guilty to stealing loggerhead eggs

A man from Jupiter pleaded guilty to stealing more than 100 loggerhead sea turtle eggs from a nest on Jupiter Island. Glenn Shaw was charged with two counts of taking sea turtle eggs last July. Shaw said he stole the eggs to sell for money to support his drug habit. He is currently in drug rehab and his doctors would like to keep him there. The judge listened to family members before deciding on a sentence. Shaw received 180 days in jail and 3 years of probation. He must also pay court costs, do community service and pay a fine.
