Lighthouse Sunset Tour

Take in the spectacular sunset views and witness the Jupiter Light turning on to illuminate the night sky.  Visitors get an inside look at the nuts & bolts of a working lighthouse watchroom.  Tour time approximately 75 minutes, Cost: $20 per person, $15 for Lighthouse Members, RSVP required-call 561-747-8380 X101, or Tickets online. Hike Through History

Join Historian Josh Liller on a 2 mile trek through the 120-acre Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area discovering a history shaped by nature. Program is open to adults and children-minimum age 5, ages 13 & under must be accompanied by an adult that is at least 18 years old.  Hiker’s footwear, active wear, a hat, and a full water bottle or canteen should be carried, tour is weather dependent. Meets at the Museum’s flag pole. Lighthouse Story Time & Crafts for Kids

Join us under the Lighthouse Seminole Chickee Hut (Sept at Museum west hall) for story time & craft activity about Lighthouse Keepers, Florida History and People & Local Plants and Animals.  Moms & Dads, this is ideal for kids ages 8 and under. Please bring a small beach/picnic mat for your child.  Please arrive 10 minute prior for check-in. Gate closes/no admission after 10:40 am. Twilight Yoga at the Light

Experience the serenity of Yoga with Mary Veal, Kula Yoga Shala, on the Lighthouse Deck at Sunset! Every Monday.  This is an all levels class and beginners are welcomed and encouraged! Offered by donation. Bring a yoga mat, water bottle and a flashlight. Meet at the Museum 10 minutes prior to start time, class is weather dependent-please check website for updates and future start times.

History of Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse

The lighthouse in Jupiter is the oldest structure in Palm Beach County.  Historian Josh Liller will look at the more than 150 years of Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse’s history and operations, from the first requests for the lighthouse through present day.  He will also share how all five branches of the US military have used the lighthouse reservation during that same time period.

2017 Jupiter Inlet Veterans Family Fishing Classic

Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum 2017

Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum offers climbing tours of the landmark 1860 lighthouse. The waterfront Museum in the restored WWII building exhibits Five Thousand Years on the Loxahatchee, which explores Native American, Seminole, Florida Maritime, Lighthouse, Pioneer and WWII Secret “Station J” history. Showcasing the amazing past of the Loxahatchee River region, the heritage site also features the Tindall Pioneer Homestead, Pennock Plantation Bell and Lighthouse Keepers Workshop.

Also available are the museum gift shop, educational programs for children and adults, sunset tours, moonrise tours, weddings & proposals, and special events. The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is part of the 120-acre federally designated, Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area. Hiking trail and observation tower located on the north side of Beach Road. Open Tues-Sun (Open 7 days Jan-Apr,) 10 am-5 pm, last lighthouse tour leaves at 4 pm. Closed on some major holidays.
