José Ubilla Day is June 14!

In June of 2005, then Mayor Robert E. Minsky, issued a proclamation declaring June 14th to be known as José Ubilla Day in the City of Port St. Lucie.  Mr. Ubilla was recognized for his ‘patriotism to our Nation and his responsibilities to our Veterans.’

The proclamation further states that Mr. Ubilla donated untold hours and expenses to the Florida Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Wall project.  Included in the project was the etching of 1,952 names and the installation of the five bollards bearing the insignia of each military service.

In addition to the Wall, Mr. Ubilla has also built all of the Veteran’s monuments at Veterans’ Memorial Park in Port St. Lucie, the Navy SEAL Museum and many others throughout the state.  His most recent monument was dedicated to the Gold Star Mothers last September.

“It is an honor to work with and for the Veterans,” stated Ubilla.  “The proclamation by Mayor Minsky is humbling.  We live in a great community and I’m proud to play a role in its success.”

Mr. Ubilla is the owner of Real Stone & Granite, one of the area’s top custom fabricators of granite and marble.  Since 1993 the company has been providing products and services throughout the state of Florida.  Visit online at realstoneandgranite.com.
