Indian River  County,  Fl (treasurecoast.com)  -Multiple Business Burglaries in South Vero Ends with Suspect Captured in St. Lucie County.
Earlier today around 12:30 PM, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office had a heavy presence of multiple deputies, K9s, and our helicopter around the area of 12th Street and US 1.
The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office received calls of a suspicious incident at the 400 block of 1st Street.
As deputies responded to the area and began investigating, they discovered another burglary occurred in the vicinity.

During the investigation, the suspect abandoned his vehicle and then stole a vehicle from Dyer Mazda. He then fled southbound into St. Lucie County.
Our helicopter (HAWK) immediately tracked the vehicle and led ground units to his area where he was detained with the assistance of the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office.
One (1) suspect is in custody and was transported to the St. Lucie County Jail pending multiple charges.
This is an active investigation and further updates will be posted.
