ROBBERY INVESTIGATION LEADS STUART POLICE TO DRUG ARRESTS

 Stuart Police received a call in reference to a robbery that had just taken place on January 11. The victim of the robbery was able to identify the suspects as Dayne Oldenborg, Dane Cotton and Jaedon Johnson.

Officers were able to quickly locate two of the subjects, Johnson and Oldenborg, at a residence in the 500 block of SE Amerigo Avenue. The two were arrested for their part in the alleged robbery.

A search warrant for the home that the suspects were located was obtained. This was in order to retrieve evidence from the robbery and the possible presence of narcotics. Detectives from the Special Operations Division executed the search warrant. During a search of the home they located approx. 14 grams of heroin (a trafficking weight), nearly 3 pounds of cannabis, and two guns.

Charges for the narcotics were brought against Oldenborg, Cotton and Cameron Ritz. The subjects will also be facing the following charges: Trafficking in heroin, Possession of cannabis with the intent to sell, Possession of cannabis over 20 grams while armed, and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
